BGRS Updates

G20 – Flexible working space for Postgraduate Research Students

During 2018/19 all Postgraduate Research Students at Birkbeck will have timetabled access to a flexible working space in G20, Malet Street. This resource includes a large open plan area and 2 side offices (G21 and G22). Throughout the Autumn term access to this space will usually be at the following times.

·         Tuesdays all day from 09.00 – 21.00

·         Weekday mornings from 09.00 – 13.00

·         Sundays from 09.00 – 17.00

Please note there are exceptions to this pattern and you will need to consult a timetable published on the BGRS Moodle site to check availability of G20 for each forthcoming week. This timetable is not yet available but I will make an announcement once it is. In the meantime please note that we are expecting access to G20 to begin in the week commencing 1 October. This is an important development and I’m looking forward to confirming further details about access to G20 in the coming days.

Highlighted Induction events + Welcome Reception

Two induction events (16 October and 18 October) and a welcome reception have been scheduled and new research students are warmly invited to register to attend.

Please note there are still some places available on the ‘Making a Success of Your Doctorate’ session on 19 October.
