History after Hobsbawm – on social media

The History After Hobsbawm conference is upon us, and the School has put together a programme of activities involving social media to give delegates an opportunity to share discussion before, during and after the conference in a range of constructive and exciting ways. These include live-tweeting from the event itself, an official blogger for each day, student bloggers and visual projection of tweets at the venue and on the School website.

  • #afterHobsbawm – please use this in all tweets, and mention it wherever else you talk about the conference: on Facebook, and perhaps your academia.edu pages (you may even want to add it to your outgoing email signature to ensure that others know about it too).
  • If you do tweet about #afterHobsbawm, the short link  to the conference website home – which will save some of those 140 characters – is bitly.com/1hoH8ls.
