Writing workshop: work in progress needed

Date: 21 October 2013
Time: 6-8pm
Place: Dreyfus Room (2.02, 28 Russell Square)

The first of this year’s writing workshops for history PhD students, led by Maria Margaronis and Caroline Goodson, will be held from 6-8 pm on Monday 21st October in the Dreyfus Room (2.02, 28 Russell Square). All history PhD students are welcome; please let Jana Kakosova know if you plan to attend on j.kakosova@bbk.ac.uk.

We will be discussing an excerpt from a work in progress from the point of view of argument, structure, style and language, offering detailed constructive suggestions and exchanging views about general writing issues that come up. If you have a piece of 3,000 words or so that you would like to submit for discussion, please email it to us as soon as possible at maria@thenation.com and c.goodson@bbk.ac.uk. We will circulate the selected excerpt in advance of the workshop so that everyone has time to read it.
