Workshop: ESRC Media Training

Esrc_logoThe next round of Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) media training days have been announced, with an early career workshop on 24 April at the University of Westminster (suitable for PhD and postdoctoral students, and with a maximum of 40 participants). The training days are designed to equip researchers with basic skills to disseminate their research to the public; to explain to researchers what makes a good press release and how the press works; and to give researchers a survival guide for radio and television interviews.

Who can attend these courses?
ESRC training courses are available for social science researchers with preference given to ESRC-funded PhD students and researchers. Non-ESRC funded students and researchers can attend if spaces are available or will be placed on a reserve list.

The courses are offered free of charge and lasts one day – roughly 9am-5pm (lunch and refreshments will be provided). You can find further details and the link to an online booking form at

All dates and venues are available on the ESRC media training page at For more information, contact Charles Clerck:
